Ibrahim has served as an Imam, a community leader, teacher, peacemaker, advisor, and a spokesperson and advocate for multiculturalism, social justice, and interfaith relations in Canadian society. Ibrahim’s other passion is the art of filmmaking. Since his youth, Ibrahim has been writing screenplays in the genres of action, drama, and science-fiction. He recently collaborated with Beth Wishart MacKenzie to complete his first dramatic short film, The Final Exam, a project that allowed him to explore his life-long interest in cinematic storytelling.
NOTE: The Final Exam is based on Ibrahim’s lived experience as a student in Turkey in 1998.
